In early 1966, was the RMS Swiss School in Accra, Ghana, established thanks to enormous initiative of the Swiss colony in Ghana. Special attention goes to the spouses Gottfried and Marianne Bolleter who participated significantly as local businessmen in the construction of the school.
The Swiss School in Accra bears her name in memory of the Swiss missionary Friedrich August Ramseyer, who worked from 1864 to during 44 years on the "Gold Coast".
