AISL is committed to developing the whole child by providing learning activities that are developmentally appropriate in a stimulating, challenging, and creative environment.  Our Early Childhood program includes Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten.  At this developmental age, learning is concrete and based on experimentation and discovery with hands-on materials. We believe that play is “the work” of the young child and is an essential component of learning for our youngest eagles. In our Early Childhood program, each child is appreciated and accepted at the level of his or her own maturity and ability. The children are given the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop in a climate of genuine affection and warmth, in their own time and in their own unique way. The partnership between the school and home is essential. Teachers work in collaboration with parents, communicating regularly to build mutual understanding and to ensure that children’s learning and developmental needs are meet.

AISL started with thirty students; we now have approximately 600 students attending. We offer preschool through 12th grade, and our high school students graduate with a United States High School diploma, in addition they have the opportunity to earn the International Baccalaureate diploma. Our graduates attend, and are successful in, universities throughout the world. AISL is an international school with an amazing and supportive community. Parents, educators, school board members, alumni, and other supporters continually show their love and dedication to the school. Our students represent fifty-five countries. Our staff represents fourteen countries. This diversity in our student body and staff, along with their varied ideas and backgrounds, is a hallmark of AISL.
