British Nigerian Academy (BNA) is a co-educational, boarding school in Abuja, which offers the Nigerian National Curriculum and examinations, plus the internationally recognised Cambridge IGCSE exams. The school has recently been authorized as an IB World School offering the diploma programme. This is a defining moment in life of the school as BNA has joined the league of international schools around the world offering the diploma programme. The school is now in its 6th year and the campus of 10 hectares has been purposely built to suit the demands of a modern, forward thinking school which caters for the needs of students in the 21st century. Because we are a boarding school, we are of course, also entrusted with the moral, spiritual and physical welfare of the children in our care and to this end we strive to do an excellent job, just as parents would do, knowing that we are in loco-parentis for more than 35 weeks of the year.

In May 2014, British Nigerian Academy became the first school in Abuja and Northern Nigeria to offer the IB Diploma Programme. We have now joined an ever growing community of over 3800 schools offering the IB in 147 countries.
