Our School is established in line with our belief that the teaching philosophy developed by Maria Montessori is an effective way to educate young children. We believe that the most important quality of a good school is that it is a place where the pupils feel stimulated, safe, and at peace while learning. As a School, “Child Tenderhands” adheres to the educational objectives and philosophy developed by Dr. Maria Montessori (1870-1952), An Italian physician and natural scientist whose discoveries about how children learn revolutionized teaching concepts throughout the world. Dr. Montessori realized that no human being is ever educated by another person, and felt that the goal of education should not be to fill the child with facts from a preschool course of studies , but rather to cultivate his own natural desire to learn.

Tenderhands Creche commenced operation in 2009 with 2 children and operated on a non-profit basis. The focus was to help working parents take care of their children while they were at work. The center opened at 5.30am and closed at 9.00pm. Due to constant demand from parents of graduating pupils of the crèche, the facility decided to open the nursery section which became Child Tenderhands Nursery and primary School as approved after Lagos state name search. The Nursery section commenced operation in September 2012 with two children while the primary section commenced operation in September 2015 with four pupils.
