Damico College of Arts and Science commenced academic activity at the school's permanent site, 1 old Ibadan road, Powerline Junction, Ile- Ife, Osun State, Nigeria, on Monday, 26th September, 2011 with two students registered in senior secondary school 1 (SSS 1). The pioneer students were Orji Flourish and Orji Faith, both girls, twins of same parents. The first Principal of the School was Mr Owabumuwa Julius Olufemi and was supported in the work with the following accomplished members of staff: Miss Ogugua Chidinma Secretary Mr Olojede Bursar Mrs Adesiyan Dorcas Technical Director Mr Awojoodu Rotimi Teacher Mr Emeka Nwaogu Teacher Miss Folashade Adeyemi Teacher Mr Fakorede Emmanuel Teacher Mr Izuchukwu Onyemaechi Teacher The school hang her activities on computer-support teaching in which all teachers and students have a laptop each and this is aided with IP Board (Electronic Board). Two students joined the school before the end of first term by the names Adedokun Barnabas and Jesuye Odeyemi who were admitted into SSS 1. In January, 2012, the student's population increased with the registration of: Ashamu Inioluwa JSS1 Lolade odubiyi JSS1 Bateye iyanuoluwa JSS 1 Abegunde Tobi JSS3 In May 2013, Mr Fakorede Emmanuel Oluwaseyi assumed the office of the Principal. As at today, the population of the school is 62 as follows: JSS 1 18 students JSS 2 9 students JSS3 11 student SSS1 10 students SSS 2 9 students SSS 3 5 students The subjects offered by the school currently, are: Junior Secondary school: General Mathematics, English language, Yoruba, German, French, Basic Science and Basic technology, , Business studies, Cultural and Creative Art, Music, Prevocational Studies, Leadership. Senior Secondary School: Compulsory subjects include; General Mathematics, English Language, Civics, Animal Husbandry, Computer studies. For the electives we have Senior Secondary Science and Mathematics: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Applied Electronics. Senior Secondary Humanities: Literature in English, Christian Religious Studies, Government, Economics Senior Secondary Business Studies: Principles of Account, Commerce It is noteworthy to make mention of the visioneer of the school who expended much energy and material resources in the realisation of the school's dream, Dr Dayo Michael Oguntuase, the Director of Studies. As at today, the school is a centre for SSCE WAEC and NECO examination having given a bill of clean health by Osun State Ministry of Education and the Federal Government.
