The founder, Dr. Chuma Onyekuru, is a child development professional with several academic laurels to his credit from both within Nigeria and from the United States of America. He’s a certified teacher in the state of Missouri, and a Certified Anger Management Facilitator in California, all in the United States. Emmy Norberton International School has set the way qualitative education should be approached in Nigeria. The school is determined to increase scholarships to students, and also, to give insight and direction in enriching the curriculum in qualitative education. The challenge the school has set for itself is to reach the less privileged even at their own locality. The school won the National Quality Educational Development Best School Award of the year 2009 by the Quality Management Development Institute of Nigeria.

Emmy Norberton International School (ENIS) was established in 1997 with the aim of providing sound and qualitative education of international standard in a fast developing city of Port Harcourt. In September, 1999, the secondary arm opened its doors for students.
