The name of the School is ‘Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model School’ founded on the 2nd of October 1996.  The School is owned and managed by the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Sisters. The current administrative staff are Sr. Stella Idibie (Administrator), Sr. Florence Awunu (Assistant Head Mistress), Sr. Assumpta Okeke (Bursar), Mr. Dennis Pine (Adm. Officer), Miss Nkem Mbah (Ass. Bursar), Miss Patience Ugwu (Secretary) The School is located right beside Christ the King Catholic Parish and directly opposite Julius Berger Staff Residential quarters popularly called ‘Berger Camp’ at the Federal Housing Authority (FHA Kubwa-Abuja)

On the 28th of August 1996, forms were sold to the first group of pupils and a good number of them turned out on the 17th of September of the same year to be interviewed. On the 18th of September 1996, prospective teachers were interviewed and those who were successful on the 22nd of September started their orientation and drill on the dreams of the School. On the 2nd of October 1996, the School formerly took off with 120 pupils distributed into six classes. These first set of Pupils were housed under the roof of the Sacristy of the Christ the King Catholic Parish in Kubwa- Abuja with the permission and kindness of the Archbishop of Abuja- Most.Rev.Dr.John Onaiyekan. Although at inception, the School had 120 pupils, this number increased to 154 pupils by the end of the first academic term of the School. Sr. Assumpta Ebhomielen EHJ was the first Headmistress and Administrator of the School and Sr. Theresa O'cloo as the Assistant Headmistress.
