Evangel Comprehensive Secondary School (ECSSA) was founded on October 2002 by Rev (Capt.) Eric Chukwu Eziukwu. The school kicked off with seventeen students who wrote the first entrance examination. Rev (Capt.) Eric Chukwu Eziukwu was and is still the first principal of the school till the time of writing, 22nd October 2019. He was also the first teacher until the following pioneer staff was requited in November 2002.
