Florence Day Schools was founded in january 1994 at 13 Olu Obadare crescent Alakuko of Lagos State. The School was founded by Mrs Florence Bolanle Olakanle. At first, we started off as a Nursery and Primary School. The founder of the school has some reason for setting up this institution. These reasons includes the following: 1). Her natural love for the noble teaching profession. 2). To promote the Educational, Emotional, Physical and psychological health of pupils. 3). To inculcate in the pupils respect for the worth and dignity of the individual. To achieve these set objectives, the school has put in place trained and qualified teachers, an environment conducive for learning, a demarcated playground, a library, suitable furniture, Healing bay managed by a qualified nurse and many more. With further pursuance of my vision and mission which is to impact the lives of Children and adolescents positively and most importantly because of my passion for teaching and learning. As a good citizen of Nigeria, i equally want to contribute my own quota towards the development of our dear country. Learning is a continuous process and Education is to Equip one for life. Education sets a child in the way of protecting him/herself in a vast and complicated society from which he cannot escape. The school should give a child his/her first experience of living in a society. That is why a child must learn in a conducive environment where his/her intellect can be tapped and be fully developed. Therefore choosing a wrong school can mar a child for life while choosing the right school can make a child for life. Florence Day Schools is approved by the Lagos State Ministry of Education. Since inception and upon subsequent approval in march 1997, this school has been maintaining high academic and moral standard. The primary School section is Located at 13 Olu Obadare Crescent Abule-Titun, Alakuko, Lagos State. And the Secondary School Section is Located at our permanent site located at 2b Adekunjo Street, off Olaleye Street, Agbado-Alakuko in Lagos State. Our Beautiful school building has a large compound big enough to accommodate pupils during work and play.
