The academy aims at promoting the pursuit and acquisition of knowledge among all generations of Muslims, in area of sciences and humanities. It also aims at inculcating into the Ummah an Islamic awareness within the larger society, sense of responsibility, morality, positive self-concept and constructive personality disposition. Fou’ad Lababidi Islamic Academy (FLIA) was established by the Muslim Community in Wuse, Abuja on Monday 6th November, 1995 with a population of thirty six (36), students, eight (8) teachers and Mallam Hamid A. M. Yusuf as the pioneer Principal. It was registered by the FCT Education Secretariat and fully accredited by West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and National Examinations Council (NECO). The Institution is a non-governmental, non-profit organization run by a Governing Board and headed by a Chairman. Since inception to date, the Academy has graduated over eight hundred (800) candidates on completion of their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations
