FUNIS is a co-educational secondary school located within the serenity of the university’s expanse of land on Alabata Road in Abeokuta. It is a day and boarding school with qualified and experienced staff. The school opened its gates to future leader in September, 2004 and since then it has been waxing stronger, churning out excellent students at the end of each 6-year sojourn in the citadel of academic learning. FUNIS is conducive for learning because of its good boarding facilities, quiet and serene learning environment with well-equipped library, standard science, vocational and computer laboratories. The school indeed is a home away from home. Due to the presence of experienced and qualified teaching and non-teaching staff who stand ‘in loco-parentis’ to the students, personal attention is given to individual student. With this, each student finds it easy to settle and fit well into the school environment.

The FUNIS School Board is committed to providing a comprehensive secondary school education and to moulding the character of young boys and girls who will stand out tall among their peers in academics, commitment to duty; high moral values and. service to the nation and mankind”. FUNIS stands for Excellence and Integrity and has been serving as a preparatory ground for greater experiences in Tertiary Schools, in line with the school's vision. FUNAAB International School was established in 2004, when it opened its gates to admit the 13 pioneer students. Since then it had been making progress and we now have 395 students. The progressive school enrolment is an Indication of the notable quality and increasing reputation of school. Complementing the efforts of the school management is a very pro-active and responsible PTA (Parents Teachers Association), which has relentlessly supported the school and their children through the many challenges of 21st century school education. This is a partnership that the School Board has encouraged in order to offer a robust education (both at school arid at home).
