Glorious Hope High School Bukuru is a coeducational day/boarding school which started as a result of the relentless and visionary effort of the Proprietress, late Ass. Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Lyop Gloria Mang, a seasoned educationist with proven and sterling records as a school teacher, Principal, University Lecturer and an astute administrator. The school is located in a conducive learning environment within Bukuru town, Jos Nigeria. The primary section started in 1996 whereas the secondary section started off September 2008 with both the junior and the senior levels. By September 2012 the boarding section of the school started with about twenty-one students. From a humble beginning with three students tutored by the pioneer principal, Pastor Mike Terlumum Ayongaor. Within this short period of time, the school has built standard modern classroom blocks, science laboratories and sporting facilities among others. Students of the school have proven records of academic excellence at the West African Examination Council (WAEC), National Examination Council (NECO), national and state Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The school is an epic center of learning and stands on the cardinal principles of balanced Christian tenets, holistic and functional based education in tandem with contemporary realities. The school has also excelled in areas of sports, clubs and societies programmes and other extra-curricular activities.
