Golden Treasures International School was started in September 2006, by Dr. Rejoice Lawer after being inspired by Isaiah 45:3; about children as treasures in society as well as her disappointment with current trends in educational development. She desired to see and nurture children to meet the challenges of modern living. Starting with two of her children and two other children from her community, the school opened in September 2006 at her home in community 8 Tema. The school grew steadily, to master the art of early childhood development, and few years afterwards, started primary. Today, the School runs Preschool, Primary and Junior High departments. Although relatively new in Tema, the school has chalked significant successes. In 2016, the school the School came first in the National Hard Spell and Quiz Competition held at Kumasi, and had the opportunity to represent Ghana in the African event in South Africa in 2017. In June 2019, its first batch of student will sat the BECE and performed creditably, securing distinction in overall performance. The school is situated at No I/F 49, Community One, Tema-, near Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church Our Vision Our vision is to establish an ultra-modern learning center that provides an environment that fosters the development of full potentials of children and which lays a firm foundation for the pursuit of higher education in children. Our Mission To do this, we hope be a leader in child development at the basic level in Tema and beyond. The school offers an environment for child development, staff development and continuing research in the art of early childhood modelling in Ghana.
