A variety of teaching and learning methods is used, with an emphasis on differentiated interactive whole- class teaching. Children are set target for reading, writing and math and progress is monitored regularly. We use assessment for learning techniques, so that children gain an understanding of what a ‘good’ piece of work look like and know how to improve their work. Children are provided with opportunities to apply their learning through problem solving and collaborative working. The curriculum is differentiated to take account of children with different IQ. This can take the form of extension work for Able, Gifted and Talented pupils or work broken down into smaller steps for children with learning difficulties. The national education curriculum is strictly followed, b u t presented in a modern a n d standard setting/ format.
