Happy Kids School is a Co-educational School located at Accra in the Greater Accra Region. The humble beginnings of the school cannot be mentioned without saying where it started. Happy Kids School started on a veranda and has now grown into annexes in different locations with an International school in Dawhenya. The school has departments located at Kwashieman, North Odorkor and Official Town in the Ablekuma West District. The new branch at Dawhenya is an International School which offers a combination of Montessori, Ghana Education Service and the British Curricular. It is a few meters from Central University College in the Dangbe West District. Happy Kids School was founded as a result of the challenges Miss Jemima Nartey, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the School faced after the birth of her daughter. She had no one to support with the care of her daughter since she had lost her mother before getting married. As a professional teacher at Kaneshie Methodist Junior High School, this was very inconveniencing. She took a bold step and decided to take care of her daughter herself. Back then, there was a lady who lived behind the school who also had a son. She would come to leave him with the CEO to take care of him. Madam Jemima could not only feed him so she started teaching him while taking care of her child. The woman started noticing changes in her son. He started speaking good English and always looked very neat so she advised the Founder to start a school. For three months she took care of her daughter while teaching the boy. On 3rd January, 1993, Madam Jemima fixed a signboard. Her great love for Education compelled with the desire to help others motivated this. Three days after placing the sign, eight toddlers were admitted. In the next three months, 206 pupils were enrolled. Thanks to the husband of the Founder and her knowledge in Public Relations/ Advertising which she used to her advantage. Presently, Happy Kids Schools, Ghana are over 900 pupils with an International School at Dawhenya. MOTTO Unity and Hard work.
