Indian Language School has children with varied needs. There are children from different economic and social backgrounds. There are children with different needs. We have children on the Autism Spectrum, Slow Learners, ADD, ADHD, Dyslexic and Gifted children. The children are provided an effective common learning environment: ☞ Each child is enabled to fully participate in the learning environment that is designed for all students. ☞ A positive environment is provided to ensure students’ progress toward appropriate personal, social, emotional and academic goals. ☞ The teaching practices are student-centered. ☞ The teaching methodology is auditory, visual (presentations) and kinesthetic (hands on experience). ☞ The children practice collaborative learning, where each one could contribute what they are good at. ☞ The testing is formal as well as informal. The children are given opportunities to present themselves using presentation tools, which take care of children with different abilities. ☞ CWSN can learn at their own pace. They are provided extra assistance through a peer in taking down notes and completing pending work. They are given alternatives to written assignments such as Infographics, flow chats, virtual books and projects. They are provided extra time to complete their assignments.
