OUR HISTORY Kingsfold international academy was founded in the year 2013 by a visionary leader, Mr Abraham Abiodun Balogun in Lagos, Nigeria, which was welcomed by Nigerians and has been supported constantly since its inception. It started with only one class (Year 7) despite having a full capacity that could accommodate all-year groups because we have the vision of grooming our children. Academic work started on the 11th of October 2014 with 18 learners; 12 on full scholarship and 6 fee-paying, as a full boarding school having been approved by the Lagos State Ministry of Education almost immediately, with the British Council approval following in the year 2015, after the facility and personal inspection. Kingsfold international academy is a faith-based co-educational boarding secondary school that creates an environment which nurtures every child’s potential towards fulfilling its purpose. Using methods in line with international standards and meeting their individual needs, we ensure our students learn from a global perspective. We are providing recognised international educational programmes through the National Curriculum and IGCSE to enable students to gain access to excellent universities. Kingsfold International Academy has received many awards within and outside the country; having been awarded as the best and top school by the National Mathematical Centre (NMC) and the Ministry of Education in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Information Communication Technology(ICT), Lagos State for Quality Education and Leadership, Toyota National Arts Competition Award (2019), British Council IGCSE global outstanding award in Mathematics (2021). The school is committed to meeting the diverse needs of students from different cultural backgrounds by offering the Nigerian Curriculum and preparing the students for WAEC, NECO, JAMB, IELTS, SAT and IGCSE in Day and Boarding school. Meanwhile, the school consistently employs quality staff and places a meticulous emphasis on moulding the students to excel both in academics and morals. Thus, the outcome of the efforts has blossomed into many success stories. All these fruits have resulted in admiration and acceptance by the public in the years passed. The visionary leader, Mr Abraham chose this area to invest in, not because the returns in profit are high but for the reason of building a society which will be able to build and uphold Nigeria, taking this nation to a higher level in the world.
