Our Secondary School caters for students from Year 7 to Year 11 (Ages 11+ to 16+) making up the two secondary Key Stages 3 and 4. The students follow the National Curriculum for England at Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) before selecting from a wide range of subjects to study for IGCSE examinations. Our aim at LPSS is to enable our students, however long they are with us, to grow into kind, thoughtful and responsible citizens of the world. With this in mind, we provide all students, from Year 7 up to Year 11, with the highest levels of pastoral support, as well as academic challenge, that ensures that the school environment is nurturing and safe and therefore conducive to the highest standards of learning. Furthermore, we encourage students to develop in a much broader sense, through the many cultural, community, artistic, sporting and charity activities that feature prominently in our extra-curricular calendar. Our unique blend of curriculum programmes ensures that whilst retaining our ‘British’ connections to the UK educational system, we also offer world class internationally accredited examination programmes that enable our students to transfer between other British international schools if needed, as well as access an array of global tertiary opportunities.

On 2 May 2002 the vision of 18 founding member families to provide children like theirs with a first class primary school education in the English tradition was realized. The founders set high educational standards but also wanted the school to be a “happy school” where service to others and a sense of responsibility and personal integrity would always be borne in mind. Operated through a “not for profit” foundation, the school has remained true to those aims ever since, and an unprecedented community spirit has driven this vision until the stage where “ Lagos Prep School” has become without question the leading establishment in its class. The vision is strengthened daily by the fresh commitment of like-minded people.
