The introduction of Advanced Level Studies in Nigeria education system was designed to assist the students gain admission into 200 level in the University without passing through UTME or POST UTME processes. Also, it help students to study in any university of their choice outside Nigeria. Admission into world class Universities is quite competitive. Thus, a solid foundation of advanced level studies and good preparation will result in better performance by the students. This background establishes the need for an advanced level Programme that would serve as a platform to equip prospective students for university admission, giving them a good head-start and promote superior studentship in the university. Obviously, Advanced Level Programmes like Cambridge, Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), International English Language Test System (IELTS) etc., promote individual self-development. It remedies the deficiencies carried over from students’ various secondary schools and creates the ability to read and write. It makes students to receive instruction in order to successfully undertake University programmes, both home and abroad.
