Lord’s Schools is a co-educational private Christian institution, comprising preschool, junior and senior schools for children. The Nursery and Primary school started precisely on 21st of April 1997, by divine inspiration. On 16th of March, 1999 provisional approval to open a Nursery School was granted to the school by the then Commissioner of Education, Oyo State, through a letter signed by Mr. Fola Badmus with Ref. No Dr2/1976/35. Since the early history of the school, the school has been competition friendly. The school participated in an Essay competition organised by the state Ministry of Youth and Women Affairs. The theme of the essay was Indiscipline among children in Schools: Causes, Effects and Solutions. The school was represented by Master Abiodun Daniel a primary five pupil. His essay was adjudged the best in the state. The school from inception has specialized in talent hunt; identify the flair of individual child. Alas, the said boy as at today 2018 is a Language Ph.D student of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. The school did not only specialise in the area of Essay writing but also in all areas including Art. The school also participated in NCE/Fanta Art Competition. The school emerged 1st and 3rd positions in their entries in the State. Since then we have won many laurels all over. It has been an annual event to go on excursion both national and internationally. It was during one of the excursion to Mathematical Centre, Abuja that we got to know that it is possible to have Mathematics Laboratory. Travelling is part of learning, so the school is one of the few schools who have Mathematics Laboratory in Nigeria. Little wonder our children are Mathematics friend. Our children were taken on excursion to Togo, Republic of Benin and Ghana. We explored all the nooks and crannies of Nigeria. We are happy today that our children then are adults today making impacts all over the world. The secondary session took off on 18th of September, 2006. The secondary school is a blessing to Oyo and its environs and Nigeria as a whole. Immediately, we commenced the secondary section, we started the boarding house. We thank God who does not despise the days of little beginning for the sacrifice we made to nurture the few numbers we had then. They have become giants today but the memory lingers. The secondary school runs FRN Curriculum whereby our children sit for WASSCE, NECO, NABTEB and UTME. Our track records are unbeatable. In our secondary school, there is no dullard. Weak students are attended to one on one and we have record of success all through. English language and Mathematics that are usually problems for students elsewhere are not our problem here. We record 100% pass every year. Science at the best, commercial at the best and Arts at the best. Kudos to well meaning resourceful and passionate teachers.
