Mizpah Vine Ark School is a complete Pearson International Centre for teaching, learning and examinations. We run the International British Curriculum for Scholars from 2 years upwards. Scholars who complete their education at the School proceed to the tertiary level (University). The School is based in Kumasi, Ghana, near the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), along the Kumasi – Accra Highway, and has been running for 42 years, initially as Mizpah School and now known as Mizpah Vine Ark School (MVAS). MVAS has provided high-quality education on the foundation of sound Christian principles to thousands of children and young people. We have a strong culture of ensuring holistic education. We thus emphasise Sports, Leisure, Music, Digital Technology, Entrepreneurship, Theatre Arts, Citizenship and Life Skills as part of our unique MVA Curriculum, which we have developed for over 40 years. We ensure that our extra-curricular courses are carefully planned, well resourced and skillfully delivered to our Scholars. Online learning and digital learning skills development are intrinsically part of our MVA Curriculum. Virtual learning at MVA School consists of live interactive video lessons between Scholars and Teachers, Pearson course content interactive digital platforms (ActiveLearn), other subject area-specific platforms and our homebred online teaching and learning platform. We, therefore, currently run a hybrid system comprising attendance on campus combined with online learning to equip our Scholars to handle the prevailing global demands and trends in education. This model is proving to be particularly efficient in the 2020 – 2021 COVID-19 pandemic. We aim to ensure that our Scholars have a smooth learning journey, as much as possible, in these times and beyond. We pay attention to the socio-emotional development of our Scholars and consistently implement strategies to engage our children and young people in practical guidance and counselling. We focus on moulding Scholars who are not only academically strong but emotionally and socially equipped to contribute ethical leadership to whichever sphere of society they function in. Our Scholars are intentionally trained to do their best in all things. We inspire and equip them to be honest, diligent, and excellent servant-leaders. Our values are firmly based on Christian principles from the Bible. Our mission is therefore summed up as: “Christ, Service and Quality.”
