Today the school has both male and female students, each gender having its own section and classrooms, as well as separate boarding facilities, to cater for students from all over Nigeria, who had for long wished to benefit from the type of education offered by New Horizons College. The school is a product of the vision of the Trustees who aimed to provide Muslim children and parents, with the right mix of Islamic and Western education to the highest international standards. We offer children who come to our school the best of two educations; quality secular education that qualifies them for admission anywhere in the world and religious education which gives them a broad understanding of Islam and other faiths. Our educational system is value based and we place strong emphasis on character development.

New Horizons College is one of the four schools established by the Islamic Education Trust, Minna, Niger State. It was established September 10th, 1995, it initially admitted only male students and had no boarding facility
