Oakland is a British School for children aged 6months -11years following the National Curriculum of England. We focus on growing young minds, through encouragement from day one, how to navigate the world with confidence. This is ably supported with an enriched academic and co-curricular program. As a result, this creates lifelong learners, where no child is left behind. We ensure that our children enjoy a happy and stimulating environment, with experts that go the ‘extra mile’. This is key to our school’s philosophy. We are a community of teachers and caregivers, dedicated and passionate about the children. Our highly qualified staff still undergo weekly in-house CPD (continuous professional development) in addition to external local and foreign trainings. Staff also undergo first aid training as well as certifications in Safeguarding and Child Protection. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum of England (EYFS) for children aged 6months to 5 years and the National Curriculum of England for children aged from 5 – 11 years. Through our curriculum we take the approach that each child is unique, with special talents and abilities and an individual learning style. Our co-curricular program augments the formal curriculum with essential life skills, which prepare our children for success. The approach used extends the children’s learning and provides them with creative opportunities.
