Queen-Mary Nursery and Primary was founded on the 2nd of May, 1990 by Mrs. Mary Ujuaku Mgbemele (Nee-Mgborukwe) at No. 70 Victoria street, Ojota. The then pupils were only Nursery pupils. As time went on the pupils started increasing in number and the school included primary school. Subsequently to this development in the school, the management then deemed it fit to start looking for a bigger school compound. The school moved to No. 88 Alhaji Amoo Street on the 21st of October, 1992. In the first year of the school existance we had only 21 pupils. Queen-Mary Nursery and Primary is now situated at No. 70 Alhaji Amoo Street Ojota Lagos. Queen-Mary Nursery and Primary School was formally known and addressed as Queens' school, Ojota, until when the school was ready to be approved by the Ministry of Education that it was discovered that Queen's School had already been registered by some other person. The only other alternative was just to add the suffix word - Mary to Queen and we got what we have today as Queen-Mary Schools.
