Regina Mundi Girls Secondary School, Iwo in a model Secondary established for the moral and academic formation of girls. It was founded on 19th March 1995 by His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Felix Alaba Job, the Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Ibadan. He established the School because of the need for the integral formation of the girl child. Hence, the goal of the School is to foster the harmonious development of the physical intellectual, moral, social and psychological growth of girls. The Archbishop therefore established the school to provide catholic education noted for its quality all over the world, to all girls irrespective of their social background and place of origin. He established the school to help cob the moral decadence in our society and schools, by making provision for such institution as this, where balanced education will be given to young girls. It is a full boarding school, with adequate boarding facilities. The school has been recording numerous achievements, that it is often referred to by many as "Primus inter paris" meaning first among equals. The school is outstanding in both senior and junior external examinations with a record of 100% in almost all the subjects especially Sciences, English and Mathematics. Students from the school are always called upon to represent the state and even the zone in certain academic competitions. In games and sporting activities especially basket ball competitions, she has been ranking high, winning trophies at different levels. We are grateful to God for all these blessings and more so, for we cannot enumerate here. The first set of JSS three certificate Examination took place in July 1997 with an impressive 100% success in the subject offered. The best student in the federal J.S.C.E got 12 ALPHAS, many scored 10 Alphas ,8 Alphas in the 13subjects they sat for up to date, the school still maintaining her place among her equals, even soaring higher, we thank God for His blessings. We thank God for His ever abiding presence. The Proprietor of the school, Most Rev. Dr. FA Job. The chairman of Education Co-ordinator, very Rev. Fr. Richard Omolade for their special love for the school.
