The desire to make a difference in the lives of young children has always been important to me. I yearned to add my own quota in nurturing children and young adults. This burning desire gave birth to Ridoshouse Montessori School on Thursday, October 2, 2008. Ridoshouse Montessori School is an independent, non-partisan day school for boys and girls from 4 months - 11 years. Our Vision is to prepare people for a secured future by planting the seed of an education that imparts for life. Our Mission is to establish an ideal learning environment dedicated to working on immortal minds guiding them towards high principles with the just fear of God and the love of their fellow men. Our existence is based on the normalization of the child through work in a free environment. In the world of today, where complexities are intensified, there’s a greater need for knowledge. We free our children with knowledge. We encourage pupils to be lifelong learners as we guide them along the way of independence. This is done by launching them into an active exploration of their environment through the use of their fundamental senses, thereby inculcating values and norms that will enhance their successful passage into becoming world-class citizens. We work in collaboration with parents in creating an enabling atmosphere that aims at bringing out the uniqueness of each pupil. Here in Ridoshouse Montessori School, we believe that regulating children’s thinking is not the solution. We teach them what counts for them to grow up to be purposeful and high minded members of the next generation of leaders of this country and beyond our shores. Since these children are in their formative years; we help them develop the willingness to learn. Once they do not have this willingness to learn, no one can help them. The moment they became determined to learn, no one can stop them. As we look towards the future with exciting anticipation, we are conscious that we are in the abstract age. These children ask questions and query our logic as they grow up. Here in Ridoshouse Montessori School, we respond as positively as possible and continue to bond with them as we act in loco parentis, conscious of the influence we exercise on them. We give them the time and attention their individuality deserves.
