RisingSun Montessori School is a fast growing basic school whose aim is to build a chain of schools in Ghana and the West African subregion.We seek to provide standards of education and training comparable to top basic schools anywhere on the globe. To achieve this we aim to deploy global best practices in teaching and learning across our entire network.

RisingSun is a privately owned Ghanaian company established in September 2007 to provide best in class educational standards under the local curriculum with international perspective. The school currently runs its operations from two (2) locations in Accra, precisely in New Bortianor, Accra West and Dome in Accra North. As part of the school chain concept the third school is planned to be opened in East Legon by September 2013. The original shareholders are Patrick Acheampong and Emenefa Acheampong. Patrick is an entrepreneur with over twenty years local and international experience in senior Management positions. Emenefa is a highly experienced Special Needs Education specialist. The school has both local and international investors who are Ebankese Fund, a local venture capital fund in Ghana; Social Venture Capital Fund (SOVEC),BV, Netherlands and P.C.Groenen Beheermatschcapij,Netherlands who together provide financial, management and technical support.
