Royal Family Academy (RFA) Abuja, a subsidiary of Family Ministries International (FMI) is a Christian school that was borne out of the vision of the Late Pastor Ina Omakwu. The school started with the nursery section which was commissioned on Friday, 27th September 2002 by Pastors Ina and Sarah Omakwu. Academic activities commenced on Monday, 30th September 2002 with an initial enrolment of twenty-nine (29) pupils and 17 staff member. As the school’s population increased, the school expanded into primary and subsequently the High School. The High School was inaugurated on the 24th of September 2007 and operates as a co-educational day school in its temporary site in Wuye district Abuja. Today, the population of the entire school has grown to over a thousand pupils/students, with a robust staff strength of qualified staff. A cradle of leadership and excellence, Royal Family Academy operates an integrated curriculum (national and international curricula) with emphasis on biblical worldview and leadership integration in the teaching of all subjects. This is in line with our commitment to cater for learners’ 0f diverse background, who would be equipped to readily respond to the leadership needs of our nation and world at large. As a Christian School, RFA is registered as a member of the Association of Christian schools international (ACSI) with headquarters in Colorado Springs, USA and is currently undergoing accreditation with ACSI to attain an International Christian school status. Our membership with ACSI ensures that quality control and global standards are maintained in the school processes and teaching pedagogy. Teachers through the periodic training provided by the association are better equipped to teach, using a biblical worldview integration approach. This in turn develops students who are well rounded in academic excellence and sound biblical worldview. The school is now an attached centre for international examinations such as Cambridge examinations-International General School Examination (IGCSE) and Cambridge International Examination (CIE). Over the years, our pupils/students have excelled in both national and international examinations due largely to excellent preparation strategies. Royal Family Academy offers co-curricular activities that are well packaged for the all-round development of the students. To this end, sports, clubs and societies, conventional and traditional dance classes, local and foreign trips, as well as various intra/inter school competitions form part of our school life. It is worthy of note that the school has acquired several hectares of land in the Daki-Biyu area of Abuja municipal area council and is in the process of building a permanent site where a state of the art full boarding and sporting facilities will be provided to enrich the life of our students in the nearest future.
