Tema Royal School (now Royal School Tema) was founded by Mama Adokuwa Asigble IV (Queenmother of Tefle Traditional Area in the Volta Region of Ghana Africa) on 4th July 1977 from her residential home in Community 7 with only 3 pre- school children. Within one year the enrollment grew to over 150 children. Due to the rapid growth, she built the school building for Primary(Grade1-6) and Junior High School (JHS ,Grade 7-9) in Tema Community 7 near the Valco Park. When JHS was introduced in 1988, Royal School Tema was among the first schools that offered it. Royal School Tema provides quality education while maintaining African culture and historic heritage. Royal School has graduated doctors, lawyers, educators and some of the brightest young minds in Ghana and abroad for the 40 years of its existence. These excellent results are due to the holistic education provided at Royal School Tema. Our school is a private non-profit day and boarding school which educates children from Nursery to the JHS( 6 months -15yrs) .We have an ICT(Information Communication Technology) lab, library and full registration with GES (Ghana Education Service) and GNAPS(Ghana National Association of Private Schools) since 1988. Our Founder Mama Adokuwa Asigble IV was the first female elected president of GNAPS. Our school currently ranks 50th out of over 202 schools in the Tema region. We are striving to be the best.
