OUR MISSION: To offer pupils from the primary section and others, the desired continuity and a solid foundation at the J.S.S. and S.S. levels. St. Anne’s High School aims at: Providing a learning environment in which the child relates intimately with the teacher. Providing an environment devoid of distraction thereby focusing the child’s mind on learning as well as useful extra-curricular activities. Creating a small school where each child is known to the teacher and each teacher is known to the child. A learning environment in which the child is at the center. Our curriculum is broad and rich. At the Nursery level we run a combination of Nigerian and Montessori curricula. The primary school curriculum is integrated and dynamic as we regularly review and upgrade it to meet current standards. We are mindful of the fact that our children bring with them a wealth of different strengths, experiences, interests and challenges. For this reason we give them every support they need in their regular class activities and through extra remedial support and interventions as required. Our teachers are well trained and experienced as over sixty percent of them have been in our employment for over ten years. Our environment is serene and secure. The classrooms are standard sized; spacious and well ventilated. Pupil to teacher ratio is 20:1 and in the nursery and lower primary classes, 20:2. We see education as partnership between home and school and we place much emphasis on partnership with you, our parents. Management is open and flexible. Parents are encouraged to meet with us on any issues that involve the children. At St. Anne’s High School we maintain a culture of discipline, aimed at the totality of an individual’s well-being. We uphold the culture of “Showing forth the light” at all times and in all our endeavours. As “light bearers” we stand out in areas of integrity, moral values, soundness of body and mind. We are committed to the general advancement of humanity. This we achieve by being focused, showing love and doing our best at all times.
