Tenderloving Childcare (TLC) was established in January 2007 by Mrs. Olubunmi Egbeyemi out of her passion for education and her love for children. Mrs. Egbeyemi comes from a family of educators. She had vast experience in education and entrepreneurship before taking the decision to make her dream become a reality through the establishment of her very own school. Tenderloving Childcare started as a crèche and preschool where children came in to learn through play and a deliberately planned curriculum. After a few years of running, the school started to grow and demand for a Primary School began to emerge. As a result, Mrs. Egbeyemi established the Tenderloving Primary School in 2014 and named it Tenderloving School (TLS), in line with this new stage of development. The Primary School is now up to its fourth year, and still continues to grow. Hence, in line with its further development, the school’s Management Team decided that as much as it provides “tenderloving care” to its children, the name might not be representative of the magnitude of its brand. This is why the school has been renamed “The Foreshore School” and has redefined its vision and mission in line with its growth.
