The KIIB School is a private early years nursery, primary and secondary school born out of a passion to raise a generation of leaders who will be well rounded and unique with a passion to make a difference in their lifetime and positively impact the world at large. The name KIIB was gotten from the first letters of the names of the 1st four members of the immediate family of the founder of this great school and has become an acronym for “King is in born”. THE KIIB SCH. The KIIB School was established on Monday 16th September, 2013 with two children as pioneer pupils and nine staff at her present location on 13 Chief Wopara street, Rumuobiakani, Port Harcourt. Today, the school has almost a hundred pupils in her nursery and primary section with a staff strength of over twenty. The school is highly diverse in terms of ethnicity, Christian denomination and status. The school has a wide curriculum covering languages, numeracy, calculations, reasoning, arts & craft, music, national studies, pre-vocational studies and the Christian religion. The school is blessed with a team of experienced, dedicated and committed staff charged with the responsibility of positively imparting every child. The school is known for her high academic excellence and has participated in the different versions of the International Turkish mathematics competition and excelled. Her grade 5 pupils sit for common entrance examinations into different schools yearly and have recorded great success in all exams they have sat for. The school has a high standard of discipline and is known for her commitment to instilling Christian virtues in her students which has endeared parents to her. The school also runs a character count school agenda program with the aim of building children with sound characters. The school runs a vibrant Music Academy, Young Engineers, spelling bees and Ballet Clubs. The chess mathematical class which the children are exposed to helps develop their critical thinking skills and has positively impacted on their mathematical problems solving skills. The school has since its inception engaged in regular excursions. The pupils by God’s grace have visited the NDLEA, NAF base helipad, Zoo, NPA, Obio Cottage Hospital, Supermarket (SPAR), Bristow Helicopters, Pleasure Park, Museum, Treasure Fm Station, Charlis Gyms and polo club all in her bid to give her pupils a sound and balanced education. With the help of God, we are still growing. We have a vision to be the best and with the help of God, we will get there. It is true there is a proliferation of private schools in Nigeria, however, schools with a difference in terms of moral and academic excellence and operating procedures are not difficult to identify. We count ourselves blessed to be counted among the few.
