On the 19th of August, 2000, the school was formally commissioned by the late wife of the former President of Nigeria (Chief Mrs. Stella Obasanjo) whose ward also attended the school. Grace Garden International School(GIS) started humbly as 'Kings Kids International' in 1996 at No 32 Ayinde Giwa Street, Surulere, Lagos with the three (3) children of the founder. Soon after the amazing response from the neighbourhood and Nigerian populace who came to discover the quality of learning of the school, advertised the school so fast that what started small grew rapidly, later to become Grace Garden International School and College, as well as GGIC Advanced Academy. These schools have transformed to world class centres of learning.
