Our Elementary School was established to meet the needs of parents as a bridge between home and school, “Home away from home” for pupils. A pleasant ambience and safe haven for child minding. The Elementary School is a subsidiary of Straitgate School and works in synergy with the school. It occupies its own building, a duplex, equipped and furnished in a homely and educative form and style. Children from age 5 are taken through a series of sound learning experiences organized as whole class teaching, group work or individual work until completion of Year 6. Using a blend of the International Primary Curriculum and the National Curriculum, children develop core skills in Mathematics, English Language, Social studies, ICT and Language proficiency. French and Yoruba as additional languages are introduced from Year 1.

Straitgate College started at the premises of Straitgate Nursery and Primary School in Magodo GRA Lagos (a temporary site) in September, 2004. By September 2007, the College moved to her permanent site (an expanse of 68 acres) situated at km 82, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Isara-Remo, Ogun State. According to the God-Given Vision, the College was founded to make a difference by structuring the curriculum in a way that high level academic activities are heavily spiced with ethics, values , morals and a total Christian life package. Each child is made to imbibe and cultivate Christian Principles and Precepts such as a total belief in the Holy Bible; a knowledge and understanding of Christianity; development of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; personal life-long commitment to Christianity; development of Christlike qualities of humanity, truthfulness, integrity ,etc. PROPRIETORS The Proprietors are a group of well established Christians. They are all Professionals, who are working in various industries including Telecommunications and Manufacturing. They are born-again Christian gentlemen who worship in Foursquare Gospel Church, Deeper Life Bible Church, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministries,Baptist, Daystar, etc. These highly learned and practical Christians have the passion for raising a generation of Nigerians who would make a difference, in business and politics, in a Godly way. Because, they share the same vision and passion of establishing a Christian School that will provide each child with a focused attention in a serene environment that is far from the maddening crowd, Straitgate College was founded to give a tutelage and nurture each child for excellence, integrity and a sense of good team work.
