Rantya Model School was founded in 1988 by Mrs Okoewole with only one class. Due to the quality of teaching, the school has grown from streigth to streigth and will continue to grow impressively. In 1995, the secondary school was established and in 2002, it graduated its first set of students. In 2004, the school was taken over by Mr & Mrs de Douhet, and presently the school has been taken over also by Mohammed Maliki and now offers Day and Boarding facilities. It is a well accredited centre to pass both national school certificates N.E.C.O and W.A.E.C
