Science Secondary is a Citadel of learning poised at fostering, promoting, and ensuring optimum welfare of students, with the sustainable capacity to provide academic excellence

The establishment and approval of the school was collaboration between the Akwa-Ibom State Government and the Nigerian Army in Feb 2017 based on the memorandum of Understanding. The school was to commence academic activities on Sep 17 but due to some logistics challenges, it was shifted indefinitely and the students were transferred to Command Secondary School Orlu and Abakaliki respectively. The school later commenced her first academic session on 13 January 2018. The prospects of establishing CSSS in Efa-Etinan is strategic to the state in that it has brought Military presence closer to the community. The establishment of the school has so far created job opportunity and development to the host community and by extension has foster Civil-Military Cooperation. The school is saddled with the responsibility of providing quality and affordable secondary education for both wards of the Civil populace and that of the Military personnel.
