Movers School is a private co-educational day school with Nursery, Primary and Secondary sections respectively. The nursery session opened in 2005 while the Secondary section kicked off in 2018. Mrs R. O. Alebiosu started the school in 2005 out of a passion to see children nurtured to excellence in every area. She envisioned a qualitative yet affordable educational standard equal to the best in Nigeria. The school began as a Nursery school at number 1, Fatai Oduniyi Street, with 3 teachers and 8 pupils, one of which was her last daughter. The school has since grown into a great citadel of learning with hundreds of pupils. It has also attracted pupils from low and high income families. Seasoned professionals have led the school, keeping the vision going and setting higher standards. Today, the school has close to forty members of staff (full time and part time). The school’s motto, ‘Moving to greater heights’ is made visible through their core values: Courage Confidence Character The school is well known for excellent academic standard and pupil achievement. Movers School engages in both intra and inter school competitions and the pupils’ results have been exceptional. Some of our achievements are: One of the Top 50 students in TUMA Mathematics Competition 2019 2nd Position in Igbogbo Student Union Spelling Bee 2018 1st Position (March Past)Ikorodu Children’s Day, 2014. Some of our extra- curricular activities include Chess , Music , Dance team , School Enterprise Club, JETS Club, Movers Kids’ Court, and Literary and Debating Society. Movers is well known for organising educational events such as seminars, Colour Day, Career Day, Christmas Fiesta, Culture Day, Founder’s Day. We also do Accolade Assembly where certificates of recognition are given to children who perform excellently in different subjects every term. Our students always look forward to Graduation Ceremonies and Prize giving Day where we launch our successful graduands into the next stage of learning and showcase academic excellence.
