Let me seize this opportunity to welcome you all to Nightingale Academy. We have been involved in providing quality education to nursery, primary and secondary school students for a period, now spanning over 20 years. The school opened its doors to full operation of Nursery and Primary section on Monday I5th Sept. I997. The 1st day recorded the registration of four (4) pupils, the second day, eight (8) and by the end of the 2nd week, there were a total of twenty (20) pupils in school, made up of sixteen (16) boys and (4) four girls. In spite of the fewness, normal learning activities started in earnest under the energetic and vibrant tutelage of the young teachers employed. Since then, the population of the school had increased from the 1st day of school. I must add at this point that it was by no means an easy feat convincing the community to send their children to school at an early age. Meanwhile, I had a vision and was not going to let any constrains kill it, hence the convenient system of installment payment was introduced and this greatly assisted and encouraged the community.
