Plumbreed School is established to make a difference. We operate an open door policy and integrated system which involves all relevant stakeholders. We adopt a Montessori curriculum in the preschool department and the Nigerian/British in the primary section. The primary formative years are set to achieve a secure level of functionality and effectiveness in the core skills which includes: reading, oral and written communication, enquiry and research, and dexterity with numbers. These are the important prime factors, without which further progress in the students learning can be inhibited. In addition, through topics, themes, projects and standardized internationally acceptable best practice of teaching and learning, the pupils also acquire knowledge, skills and understanding about their world. They are taught to inquire, use and apply skills learned and develop international mindedness as they explore the global perspectives of various aspect of their learning. The Primary Section of the Plumbreed School runs an integrated curriculum which is a blend of Nigeria and British with lots of international programs (STEAM, Project Based Learning ,E-Learning on coding, e reading/e-creative writing. The curriculum is a child centered, teacher friendly which makes learning connecting to the real world. It enable students to take responsibility for their learning by being involved in activities such as planning, researching, recording, interacting with teachers and other students, and assessing learning
