The college is an off shoot of Summerland School Nursery and Primary School, as a result of the UBE (Universal Basic Education) programme. The management was motivated to start the basic 7 class in 2006/7 session .The school took off on 18th September, 2006. The school started with nine children in the 1st term of inception.
