The name of the school came from the French word l'essence which means Fuel. So in this case we regard education as the fuel of life. The school started operation on the 17th May 1977. It opened its doors to pupils of nursery classes and primary 1 and 2 inSeptember, 1997. from then the school latter continued to grow up to all primary classes. The College JSS I - JSS 3 and SS I - SS 3 was opened in 2005. At Essence School, pupils and students are encouraged and supported to excel. One of the Most important decision a parent or guardian makes is the choice of a child's school, so Essence Schools has made this decision easier for you. The popularity of our school is not accidental, it is due to careful planning, selection of excellent teaching and support staff and provision of latest instructional materials or teaching aids and constatnt innovation is at the core of our excellence. Our classroom and co-curricular programs are rich and engaging with a range of sporting and cultural activities. This provides hig opportunities that allows every student access to an environment in which they particpate and excel. pupils/students here learn to be the best they can be. It therfore did not come as a surprise to parents and staff of the school when the House of Representative Committee on Education gave an award to the school for a remarkable standard in knowledge importation and effective school administration in 2014. Our result in external examination that is WAEC and Neco have been excellent over the year and our graduant have gone on to excel in higher institution of learning both in Nigeria and abroad.
