The college was established in October 19, 1979 by Rev.Fr. Simon Emenuo, a Holy Ghost priest who was the parish priest of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Toto, then under Makurdi Diocese with the permission of the then the catholic Bishop of Makurdi Diocese, Most Rev. Dr.D.J. Murray Cssp. The school had grown from strength to strength until the several crises in Toto, mostly between the Bassas and the Igbiras forced it to be re-located to St. Peter’s Catholic Parish in Keffi in 1998. With canonical erection of the Catholic Diocese Lafia from Makurdi diocese in 2001, Rev. Fr. Marcellinus Sa’aondo was appointed as the seventh principal of the college. Under his indefatigable and purposeful driven leadership the school moved to its permanent site on the 12th October, 2008. As a mission school, it stands out in morals and discipline and it’s an excellent place to train your child. Throughout its life span, the college has drawn students from all parts of the country. Over the years the school has achieved excellent results in the JSCE, SSCE and U.M.E
