Glory is to Allah (SWT), and may His peace and benevolence be upon the noble prophet of Islam, Muhammad (SAW)  This academy begun in 2005 as pure Quranic school (Islamiyyah) named “Ahmad Ibn Abubakar Islamiyyah School”. As at the then, the academy was designed to concentrate on Quranic studies ,teaching Qur’anic recitation, general Islamic knowledge and Aqeedah (Islamic Theology). At that time, the school was tuition free for all. Today, the free Islamiyyah is still in existence  As the days of the academy grows, some challenges connected to universal demand on technology and other fields of study brought in the necessity to incorporate the western system of education with that of Islam. .  So, in 2009, Al-Hikma International Academy was established as a secular Islamic school. The philosophy behind this step is to provide a healthy platform for the next generation of the Islamiyyah pupils to be equipped with both orientations, Islamic and Western system of education. There on in, Muslim children are braced up for the opportunity to study in a perfect environment devoid of non-Islamic values and etiquettes,  The school started with Nursery/Primary alongside Junior Secondary School in 2009. The secondary section of the academy commenced in September, 2011 with full boarding facilities to house the boarding students of the school. Today, classrooms at Al-Hikmaa have the capacity to hold more than one thousand five hundred students. Its boarding facilities accommodate more than Four Hundred and Fifty boarding students.
